Enjoy wearing it
- To prevent "shoes laughing" -

"Smiling shoes" refers to shoes that don't fit properly, causing the opening to widen and bend, making the shoes look like they're smiling. Even if you have a great pair of shoes, if they don't fit your feet, they will easily lose their shape, and both their beauty and comfort will be compromised.

At Wakon, we believe that choosing the right size is very important so that you can wear your shoes for a long time. Before purchasing, please measure your feet and follow the guide to choose the perfect size.

How to measure your feet

- Please measure your size before purchasing -

When it comes to shoes, not only appearance but also comfort is very important. Wakon shoes are made with sturdy leather and construction, and by choosing the right size for your feet, you can experience the natural fit and ease of walking.
By measuring yourself, you can more accurately choose the size that suits you.

What you need

  1. Paper that fits your feet
  2. major
  3. writing utensils

Measurement items

  • Foot length: heel to longest part of toe
  • Foot width/instep width: Straight distance from the base of the big toe to the base of the little toe
  • Foot circumference/instep circumference: Around the highest part of the instep

Foot length / Foot width / Instep width

Measure from heel to toe at the longest point.

  1. Draw a horizontal and vertical line on a piece of paper to mark a right angle.
  2. Place your heel where the two intersect and trace the outline of your foot.
  3. The longest part from your heel to your toes is your "foot length." The part from the base of your big toe to the base of your little toe is your "foot width/instep width."

Foot circumference/instep circumference

Measure around the outermost point of the base of your big toe and little toe.

Please check and compare your measurements with the size chart to select your size. If your foot circumference is more than the circumference on the size chart + 6mm, the size may not fit. If you are unsure, we recommend choosing one size larger.

How to choose shoes

- What type are you? Tips for choosing shoes based on your type -

Wakon shoes are lace-up so you can adjust the fit to suit your instep height and foot width. We recommend choosing shoes based on your actual measurements rather than relying on the size of your usual shoes.

High instep type

People with high insteps who find it difficult to tighten laces or feel pressure easily

We recommend considering going up one size or loosening the laces to adjust the fit.

Wide type

People with wide feet who find shoes that fit perfectly too tight

For a more comfortable fit, choose a size 0.5cm to 1cm larger than your actual size. It's best to choose shoes that are more comfortable and have a wider instep than the length of your foot.

Thin leg type

People with slender feet who can move their feet easily in their shoes

Choose the size that fits your foot length perfectly and secure the shoes with the laces. Adding a thick insole will also increase stability.

Narrow heel type

For people who tend to slip off from the opening

Cushion padding in the heel prevents the shoes from slipping off. Wakon shoes have a firm heel core that provides a secure hold.
